Accessibility
Built for everyone.
ToolFluency is committed to WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Accessibility is not an afterthought โ it's a design requirement.
Our Commitment
What we do.
We aim to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA across all pages and tools. Here's what that means in practice.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard. Focus order follows a logical reading sequence. We use visible, high-contrast focus rings (3px, offset) on all focusable elements.
Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML elements are used throughout. All images have descriptive alt text. Form inputs are labelled with associated <label> elements. ARIA roles and live regions are used where appropriate.
Colour Contrast
All text meets a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background. Large text meets 3:1. We do not rely on colour alone to convey information โ icons and text labels are always paired.
Touch Targets
All interactive elements meet a minimum touch target size of 44ร44px. Buttons and form controls have adequate spacing to prevent accidental activation on touch devices.
Readable Typography
Body text is set at a minimum 16px. Line height is at least 1.6 for body copy. Users can resize text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. We use rem units throughout.
Reduced Motion
Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. Users who have requested reduced motion in their OS settings will see a simplified, motion-free experience.
Known Limitations
Where we're still improving.
We're a solo developer. Full WCAG 2.1 AA coverage is an ongoing effort. Known areas of improvement include:
Canvas-based games and tools
The Games Suite and 3D tools rely on HTML Canvas, which has inherent accessibility limitations. We are investigating ARIA live region alternatives and keyboard-accessible game modes for future releases.
PDF exports
PDFs generated by invoice and pay stub tools are not currently tagged for screen readers. Tagged PDF support is on the roadmap for Q3 2026.
Third-party embed content
Some tools embed third-party content (e.g. currency exchange rate widgets). We cannot guarantee full accessibility compliance of third-party components, though we review alternatives regularly.
