Kids Zone now teaches reading alongside math — 63 skills across Kindergarten through Grade 5, tagged to the Ontario Language Curriculum 2023 and Common Core ELA standards. Every grade covers the full reading rope: phonological awareness (rhyming, syllables, phoneme blending), phonics (letter sounds, digraphs, silent-e, vowel teams, r-controlled, multisyllable decoding), sight words (Dolch pre-primer through third-grade), fluency (sentences and passages), vocabulary (basic nouns through Greek/Latin roots and idioms), and comprehension (story retell, main idea, inference, theme, text structure, point of view). Kids pick math or reading from the dashboard subject pill. Practice, Chill, and Quest all serve reading questions; TTS reads prompts aloud for K/G1 but NEVER the target decoding word (pedagogy rule). Parent dashboard gets a Math|Reading tab on the mastery grid plus a reading-specific readiness metric. Built on a shared content library (103 picture nouns, 17 micro-passages across 5 Lexile tiers, 4 non-fiction pieces, 12 Greek/Latin roots, 12 idioms, 10 metaphors + personifications, 220 Dolch words). Pressure modes (Speed Drill, Survival, Falling) stay math-only until a dedicated reading-fluency engine ships in a later phase.

Challenge Mode presents Grade 3 multi-step word problems through friendly characters (Carlos the orchard-keeper, Mei the librarian, Tomi the party planner). Each challenge chains 3 connected problems that require chaining previously-learned skills. Three hint levels: nudge reframe, bar-model diagram, worked partial. No timer, no score, no hearts — fully non-punitive. Only appears when a kid has practised the relevant skills. Stars can only go up. Mastery writes with mode:'boss' tagging; fluent → mastered advancement enabled per charter.

Story Mode is the introduction pillar of the ToolFluency Kids platform. Characters like Mia, Leo, and Sam guide children through math concepts embedded in short picture-book adventures (4-7 min each). Every word is narrated aloud with synchronized word highlighting for pre-readers. Questions are answerable from pictures and audio alone — no reading required. Wrong answers never block story progression. No score or stars visible anywhere. Ships with 3 launch stories covering K-2 math (addition within 5, place value tens, multiplication as equal groups). All mastery writes go through the shared KidsMathEngine spine with mode:'story' tagging.

Brand-new employer week view with one row per day (Sun-Sat) that expands to show all scheduled employees. Click any employee and a right-side detail panel shows their shift, per-job breakdown, and per-task logged hours cross-referenced from their timesheet. Navigate weeks via arrows or a calendar picker (opens inside the detail panel). Live filter by employee, job, or project. Approve or reject timesheets directly from the panel with one click. Employees get the same day/shift view as a combined "schedule + timesheet" modal: check off tasks, log hours per task, add their own tasks or unscheduled jobs, submit with an optional "day complete" flag. Future days show read-only with request-change actions (time off, swap, other). Half-hour step native time pickers with manual entry.

New Family pricing tier sits between Personal Plus and Business — unlimited child accounts, Kid Codes (picture-based passcode sign-in), parent dashboard with progress/screen-time/challenge areas, daily time limits, chore and allowance tracking. Critical fix: employees in Work mode were silently saving hours to the wrong business (their own personal default instead of their employer's). Context switching now properly updates the bizId everywhere. Also fixed notifications and employer data leaking across accounts when signing out — signing out now clears employer links, in-memory user state, and closes the notifications panel.

People page now adapts to your context. Business shows Clients, Employees, and Vendors. Personal becomes your address book with family, friends, and contacts. Work shows a read-only directory of coworkers. Each context has its own data, tabs, and actions.

Settings now opens to your current context tab. New personal profile with name and address (browser autofill). Expanded measurement units — driving distance, height, weight, temperature, volume, and area can be set independently. 3-position mode toggle: Light, Auto (time-based), and Dark. When a business invites an employee, they receive an in-app notification with "Complete Onboarding" and "Decline" actions. Adding an employee now creates the record and sends the invite in one step.
