Free memory matching game for kids — flip cards and find matching pairs. Train memory and concentration with themed card sets. Ages 3-10. No ads, no sign-up needed.

How to use

  1. Pick a difficulty: Easy (4×3 grid, 6 pairs — ideal for ages 3-5), Medium (4×4, 8 pairs), or Hard (5×4, 10 pairs for ages 7+). Then pick a theme: Random mix, Animals, Food, or Objects. Theme variety matters — kids remember a kitten and a pizza in different parts of the brain than they remember two lookalike abstract shapes.
  2. Tap a card to flip it. The card rotates with a smooth 3D transform so kids see the cause-and-effect of their tap clearly.
  3. Tap a second card. If it matches the first, both cards bounce green and stay up; if not, they flip back face-down after about a second so you have time to memorize their positions.
  4. Build a memory map as you go. The trick is associating each card to a landmark ("top-right corner is the apple") rather than trying to remember pure positions — this is the chunking strategy from Miller's classic 1956 working-memory research, and it works for kids too.
  5. Watch the Moves counter at the top. A perfect run on Easy takes 12 flips (6 pairs × 2 cards) — anything above 18 means you're peeking blind. Try to beat your previous best.
  6. When the last pair matches, confetti fires and a 3-, 2-, or 1-star rating shows based on moves and time. New Game shuffles fresh cards within the chosen difficulty and theme.
  7. Daily 5-10 minute sessions improve working memory, the cognitive system that underpins reading comprehension and arithmetic. Studies show measurable gains in 4-6 weeks of consistent play for ages 4-8.
