Play Treasure Hunt free online — explore an adventure map, solve clues, and collect hidden rewards. Fun problem-solving game for kids ages 4-10. No ads, no sign-up.

How to use

  1. Pick a difficulty: Easy (6×6 grid, 5 traps — best for ages 5-7), Medium (8×8, 10 traps), or Hard (10×10, 15 traps for confident logic-puzzle kids). The first dig is always safe, so there's no unfair Round 1 loss.
  2. Tap a tile to dig. If it's clear, the tile reveals a number 1-8 showing how many traps touch it (counting the eight surrounding tiles). Zero-clue tiles auto-reveal their neighbors in a cascade so beginners aren't stuck tapping every empty square.
  3. Toggle Flag mode to mark tiles you suspect are traps. Use the trap counter at the top — it deducts as you flag, so when it hits zero you should have flagged every trap exactly.
  4. Read the numbers like a detective: a "1" with only one unrevealed neighbor means that neighbor IS the trap. A "2" with exactly two unrevealed neighbors means both are traps. This is the same logic adults use in Minesweeper.
  5. Avoid digging tiles next to high numbers (3+) until you've cleared the safer edges. The most common kid mistake is rushing into the middle — work outward from the easy zero-cluster regions instead.
  6. Reveal every safe tile (no need to flag every trap) and confetti rains down with a 3-, 2-, or 1-star rating based on time. Easy par is 60 seconds, Medium 120, Hard 180.
  7. Treasure Hunt teaches deductive reasoning, working memory, and the courage to take measured risks — skills that translate to math word problems and reading-comprehension inferencing. One round per day builds intuition without burning out the patience tank.
