About 3D Scene Builder

Free 3D scene builder for kids 6+ and family creative play. Pick a tree, animal, house, rock, flower, or vehicle, click the ground, and watch your 3D world grow. No sign-up, no ads, no data collected.

How to use

  1. Pick a category from the right panel — Trees, Animals, Houses, Rocks, Flowers, or Vehicles. Each category has 4-6 pre-built 3D objects with a friendly emoji icon and label. Tap or click an object card to select it; the card glows to show what's active.
  2. Click anywhere on the green ground to place the selected object. Each click drops a new copy at exactly that spot — no dragging required. The object count at the bottom of the side panel ticks up as you build, so kids can race to fill the world.
  3. Drag the mouse on empty space (or use one finger on touch) to orbit the camera around your scene. Pinch or scroll to zoom in and out. The camera always points at the center of the world, so as you rotate you can see your build from every angle — front, side, back, top-down.
  4. Click an object you've already placed to select it (it gets a yellow outline). Use 🔄 Rotate to turn the selected object 45 degrees, or 🗑️ Delete to remove just that one piece. The Clear All button (💥) wipes the entire world if you want to start fresh.
  5. Build themed scenes by mixing categories — a farm (cow + barn + tractor + sunflower), a fairy garden (mushroom + flowers + bunny + crystal), a dinosaur jungle (palm + cactus + bear + boulder), or a town (house + shop + tower + car). There's no right answer — pick what makes a story.
  6. Click 📸 Screenshot to download a PNG of your world at the current camera angle. Frame the shot first by rotating the camera, then capture. Screenshots save to your computer's Downloads folder. There's no cloud save — the screenshot is the keepsake.
  7. When you outgrow Scene Builder, try the full 3D Game Editor (linked below). It adds terrain painting, walls and fences, walk-through mode, save/load JSON, and procedural random worlds — same drag-to-place feel, with much more depth.

Frequently asked questions

What age is this scene builder for?
Designed for kids 6 and up. The interface is single-click — pick an object, click the ground to place it. No keyboard shortcuts to memorize, no toolbars to navigate, no save/load complexity. Younger kids (4-5) can use it with light help. Older kids who want terrain painting, smart walls, and walk-through mode should try the full Game Editor instead.
What can I build a scene out of?
Six categories of pre-built 3D assets: Trees (pine, oak, palm, bush, cactus), Animals (dog, cat, duck, cow, bunny, bear), Houses (house, cabin, tower, barn, shop), Rocks (boulder, pebble, crystal, log), Flowers (rose, sunflower, tulip, daisy, mushroom), and Vehicles (car, truck, tractor, boat). Mix categories to build farms, towns, fairy gardens, dinosaur jungles — anything you can imagine.
Is it safe for kids? Any sign-up or ads?
Fully COPPA-safe. No sign-up, no account, no ads on kids pages, no personal data collected, nothing tracked. Everything runs in the browser using Three.js — once the page has loaded, the scene builder works offline. Screenshots download to your computer. Parents and teachers can use it in class or at home without any privacy paperwork or login chains.
How do I save my scene?
Click 📸 Screenshot to download a PNG of your scene at the current camera angle — that's the simplest way to keep what you built. Drag on empty space to rotate the camera before you capture. The 💥 Clear All button wipes the world to start over. There's no JSON save/load on this version (use the full Game Editor for that); the screenshot is the keepsake. Close the tab only after you've grabbed one.
How is this different from the 3D Game Editor?
Scene Builder is the simpler, kid-first version: pick, click, done. The full 3D Game Editor adds terrain painting (six biomes), smart walls and fences, a street builder for instant towns, walk-through mode (WASD camera + mouse-look), gizmo move/rotate/scale on X/Y/Z, JSON save/load, and a Random Generate button that uses pro-grade Poisson-disk distribution. Start kids on Scene Builder; graduate to Game Editor when they want more control.
Why won't my object go where I clicked?
Objects only place on the green ground plane — clicks on the sky or on existing objects are ignored. If you can't seem to place anywhere, scroll out a bit so you have a clear view of the ground, then try again. If the world feels empty after you've placed objects, your camera may have rotated too far up — drag down on empty space to bring the ground back into view.
