About Kids Piano

Play a free online piano for kids — colorful keyboard with note labels, recording, and guided keys. Learn music basics in your browser. No ads, no sign-up needed.

How to use

  1. Click or tap a key to hear its note. The keyboard spans two full octaves with both white keys (C, D, E, F, G, A, B) and black keys (the sharps and flats), exactly like a real piano.
  2. Pick an instrument from the dropdown — Piano (warm acoustic), Xylophone (bright mallet sound), Organ (sustained church-organ tone), or Guitar (plucked string). Same keys, completely different feel.
  3. On a computer, use rows of letter keys for faster playing — the keyboard maps to the white keys so you can play 'Twinkle Twinkle' or 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' with one hand without touching the screen.
  4. Tap the red Record button, play your melody, then hit Record again to stop. Press the green Play button to hear it back; the Notes counter shows how many notes you captured.
  5. Use Clear to wipe the recording and start over. Recordings live only in your browser session — nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and nothing is shared.
  6. Try the C major scale to warm up: play C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C using only white keys, left to right. That's the simplest scale in music and the first one most piano teachers introduce.
  7. Realistic instrument sounds are generated with Web Audio in your browser — no downloads, no sign-up, no ads, and the colorful rainbow note labels make it easy for ages 3-12 to learn note names by sight.
