Terms of Service.
Please read these terms carefully before using ToolFluency.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ToolFluency ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors who use only the free tools and registered account holders.
2. Description of Service
ToolFluency is a web-based platform offering free browser tools, a paid Business Suite, Personal finance tools, Games, a Kids Zone, and 3D Assets. The Service is provided by a sole proprietor operating from Ontario, Canada.
3. Account Registration
Certain features require a registered account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
4. Subscription & Billing
Paid plans are available at Business Basic ($12 CAD/mo), Business Suite ($24 CAD/mo), and Personal Plus ($4 CAD/mo), with discounted annual rates. All plans include a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. After the trial period, your chosen payment method will be charged automatically on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after 30 days except where required by applicable law. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service; use automated tools to scrape or abuse the platform; attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access; use the Service for any unlawful purpose; or impersonate any person or entity.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, code, design, and branding within ToolFluency is the intellectual property of its creator. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission. User-generated content (such as saved documents) remains your property.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Free tool data is processed entirely client-side and never transmitted to our servers. Paid account data is stored securely as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Kids Zone — COPPA Compliance
The Kids Zone section is designed for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable Canadian privacy law. The Kids Zone does not require sign-in, does not display advertising, and does not track behaviour. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information should contact us for immediate deletion.
9. Games & 3D Assets
Games are provided for personal entertainment. 3D assets available for download are licensed under a royalty-free licence for both personal and commercial use. Attribution is not required. You may not redistribute the assets as a standalone collection or claim them as your own original work.
10. Work Suite — Employer-Employee Relationship
The Work Suite is a tool to help employers manage timesheets, scheduling, and payroll calculations. ToolFluency is not a party to any employer-employee relationship. All payroll calculations are provided for informational purposes. You are responsible for verifying compliance with applicable employment standards legislation in your jurisdiction.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations are suitable for professional financial, legal, or tax advice. Always consult a qualified professional for important decisions.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToolFluency shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or prominent notice within the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
