Common questions.

How does the free trial work? What counts as a trial "action"?

The trial is auto-granted on sign-up — no credit card, no "Start Trial" button to find. Business plans get 10 free revenue-realization actions; Business Pro gets 15.

We deliberately count only the moments where you're actually earning, not the moments where you're trying to win work or setting things up. The trial fires when you:

  • Send an invoice (the moment you ask a customer to pay)
  • Commit a payroll run (employees actually paid)
  • Generate a tax report (GST/HST, sales tax, income tax) or P&L statement
  • Send an employee invite (provisions a Pro seat)

Everything else is unlimited and free from day one. That includes:

  • Estimates, contracts, proposals, receipts — all the pre-sale paperwork you need to win business. Send 100 estimates if that's what it takes; none of them count.
  • All data entry: customers, expenses, inventory items, employees, vehicles, jobs, projects, catalog items, timesheets, mileage trips
  • Drafts of anything — saving an invoice draft, an estimate draft, etc.
  • Internal paperwork: packing slips, purchase orders, work orders

The philosophy: a typical small-business owner sends 5–10 estimates to land one paid job. If we counted estimates, you could blow through your trial in a week without ever actually getting paid, which would be a hostile way to introduce the product. So estimates and all sales-pipeline work are uncapped — the trial only burns when you've crossed the line from "trying to earn" to "actually earning."

When your trial actions run out, you'll see an upgrade prompt at the moment you try to send/run/generate. If you don't subscribe, your account quietly drops to the free tier — your data stays intact and reappears the moment you reactivate.

Is the free tier really free forever?
Yes — the 925+ free tools require no account, no payment, and no email. Every tool runs free forever. Saving your work has a small limit on the free tier (typically 2–5 saves per tool, depending on complexity) so we can sustain the product without ads — Personal Plus ($5/mo) removes every save limit and adds cloud sync across devices.
How many things can I save on the free tier?
Anonymous users (no account) and free signed-in users get the same per-tool save caps: 2 saves for complex creative tools (Game Builder Pro, Sketch Pad, Shape Builder, etc.), 3 saves for medium-complexity tools (pixel art, palettes, flashcards), and 5 saves for quick-utility tools (calculator scenarios, productivity savers). Games share a 3-save resume-state pool. Personal Plus unlocks unlimited saves on all 925+ free tools. Business unlocks unlimited on the 14 business-form tools. Business Pro adds the payroll and advanced-report tools. Existing saves are never deleted — only new creates pause when you hit the cap.
What's the difference between Business and Business Pro?
Business is for solo operators: invoicing, expenses, customers, mileage, and reports. Pro adds everything you need to manage a team: employees, timesheets, payroll, job tracking, inventory, and advanced reports. Both include the full Personal Plus suite.
Does Business include Personal features?
Yes. Both Business and Business Pro include the full Personal Plus suite — budget tracking, document vault, health tracker, creative tools, and everything else. One subscription covers your whole life.
What about bank linking and tax filing?
We don't offer bank feed linking or direct CRA tax filing yet. You can manually log transactions and generate reports to give your accountant at tax time. Bank linking and CRA integration are on our roadmap.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel before your next billing date and you won't be charged again. Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation so you can export everything.
Where is my data stored?
Free tool data stays entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to our servers. Paid plan data is encrypted and stored in Google Cloud (Canada/US regions). You can export or delete your data at any time.
