This is a free, source-anchored standard operating procedure (SOP) you can print and hand to staff. It documents the work sequence for a Hair Salon business — not safety or regulatory rulings, which defer to the cited authorities, the applicable code, and your own health-and-safety plan. Frequently asked questions
What happens between salon clients?
Clear hair and used items, disinfect tools and the chair/station surfaces (clean-then-disinfect per your state board), restock supplies, and reset the station so the next client is seated on time. It’s a fast, repeatable turnover.
Why standardize turnover?
Turnover is where running behind and sanitation lapses creep in. A defined between-client reset keeps the schedule on time and the station compliant and presentable for every client.
