About Free Printable Bunco Rules

Free printable Bunco rules — six rounds, dice scoring (1/5/21 points), three-table party setup, Head Table bell, rotation, scorecard, and common variants.

How to use

  1. Choose your print style. Full color uses a raspberry party-Bunco accent and white dice with dark pips — perfect as a reference poster for game night. Ink-saver (black & white) switches to a high-contrast monochrome version for an economical handout.
  2. Choose whether to show dice diagrams. Diagrams on (the default) includes the round-by-round target wheel, a four-case turn-flow showing single match, mini Bunco, BUNCO, and a zero roll, the three-table party layout, and a printable player scorecard. Text only gives the most compact summary.
  3. Read the preview to confirm the layout — the rules flow from objective and materials, through setup and the six rounds, every scoring case (1 / 5 / 21 points), the three-table rotation and partner shuffle, the Head Table bell protocol, the player scorecard and prize categories, and common variants (Traveling, Low/High Bunco, family / small-group play).
  4. Click Print Rules to send it to your printer or save it as a PDF. The full illustrated guide prints cleanly across a few standard letter or A4 pages; choose Text only for the most compact summary.

Frequently asked questions

How many players do you need for Bunco?
Best with 12 players at 3 tables of 4 (Party Bunco). Also works with 8 (two tables) or 4 at a single table. With 5–11 players, use 2–3 tables and allow ghost or individual seats. A 4-player single-table version is great for a quiet family game.
What is the difference between a Bunco and a mini Bunco?
BUNCO = three-of-a-kind that matches the round number — worth 21 points, and the round ends instantly at every table. Mini Bunco = any other three-of-a-kind (e.g., three 6s in Round 2) — worth 5 points, and the player keeps rolling. Only true Buncos count on the B column used as a tiebreaker.
When does a round of Bunco end?
Either a team's running total at any table reaches 21 points (at the Head Table the bell rings to end play everywhere), or anyone rolls a true Bunco (three-of-a-kind matching the round number), which ends the round instantly. The player currently rolling may finish the roll-in-progress.
How does the table rotation work in Bunco?
After each round the losing team moves down one table and the winning team moves up one table: Head Table losersMiddle Table; Middle Table losersLosers' Table; Losers' Table winnersMiddle Table; Middle Table winnersHead Table. Head Table winners and Losers' Table losers stay put but swap seats so partners change every round.
How do you win Bunco?
After 6 rounds, total each player's W (Wins), L (Losses), and B (Buncos). Overall winner = Most Wins. Standard prizes: Most Wins (grand), Most Buncos, Most Losses ('booby'), and Last Bunco. Ties broken by Most Buncos, then a roll-off.
