Free Printable Math Worksheets

Generator-based worksheets for K through Grade 5 — multiplication, addition, subtraction, division, fractions. Pick your facts, problem count, and layout. Print with or without the answer key. No signup, no email, no watermark.

This is the math side of the ToolFluency printables — a focused set of worksheet generators aligned to Common Core State Standards for K-5 math. Unlike the big static-PDF sites that show you the same 15 worksheets forever, every tool here is a real generator: pick the facts you want to practice, set the problem count, hit print. New problem set every time. The hardest 8s and 9s are not skipped because you reached the end of the PDF — they're regenerated whenever you want them.

The current set covers the four basic operations plus fractions and place value for Grades 1-4. Seven multiplication tools take a Grade 3 student through anchor facts (×2, ×5), tier-2 facts (×3, ×4), the full 0-12 multiplication chart, timed Mad Minute drills, missing-factor practice, and 2-digit by 1-digit multi-digit. Addition, subtraction, and division worksheets cover the full K-Grade 4 range with configurable digit counts and regrouping/borrowing controls. The new fractions worksheet ships real visual models (fraction bars + number lines) — a genuine gap in the free-tools market. Place value & rounding and a focused addition with regrouping worksheet round out the Grade 2-3 NBT domain. Telling time, money, and word problems are actively being built — check back over the next few weeks.

Canadian curriculum note: all worksheets dual-cite US Common Core (CCSS) and Canadian provincial curricula (Ontario 2020, WNCP for Alberta/BC/Saskatchewan/Manitoba/Atlantic provinces, Quebec PFEQ Cycle 2). Where Canadian curricula differ — Ontario's Grade 3 multiplication fluency target is only the 2s/5s/10s anchor facts vs CCSS's full 9×9 by end of Grade 3 — the worksheet metadata explains the difference. Built in Ontario, aligned to the curriculum your kids' teachers actually use.

Every worksheet includes a separate-page answer key that prints with one click. Each problem set is seeded — copy the URL after generating one you like, and you can print the exact same set on any device. Worksheets are designed to fit a single 8.5×11 page no matter how many problems you choose; whether you pick 20 problems or 100, the layout fills the page evenly with no awkward overflow to a second sheet.

What Grade 3 students should know

Common Core Math Grade 3 has 25 standards across 5 domains. Here's how the current tools map to them — and where the gaps are that the next worksheets will fill.

Operations & Algebraic Thinking (OA)

The biggest Grade 3 domain — multiplication, division, word problems, and patterns. Nine standards total. Currently covered: 3.OA.A.1 (interpret products), 3.OA.A.4 (missing factor), 3.OA.C.7 (fluency to 10×10 — the key end-of-year standard), 3.OA.D.9 (arithmetic patterns implicitly through skip-counting).

  • 3.OA.A.1 — Interpret products of whole numbers (5 × 7 as 5 groups of 7) ✓
  • 3.OA.A.2 — Interpret quotients of whole numbers (division worksheet — coming soon)
  • 3.OA.A.3 — Multiplication and division word problems (word problems worksheet — Wave 3)
  • 3.OA.A.4 — Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation ✓ Missing Factor
  • 3.OA.C.7 — Fluently multiply and divide within 100 ✓ Multiplication + Mad Minute

Number & Operations in Base Ten (NBT)

Place value and multi-digit arithmetic. Three standards. Currently uncovered — this is the next addition/subtraction worksheet wave.

  • 3.NBT.A.1 — Round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100 (coming soon)
  • 3.NBT.A.2 — Fluently add and subtract within 1000 (coming soon — addition + subtraction worksheets)
  • 3.NBT.A.3 — Multiply one-digit numbers by multiples of 10 (coming soon)

Number & Operations — Fractions (NF)

Grade 3 introduces fractions for the first time. Three standards.

  • 3.NF.A.1 — Understand a fraction 1/b as one part when a whole is partitioned into b equal parts (fractions worksheet — Wave 2)
  • 3.NF.A.2 — Represent fractions on a number line (coming soon)
  • 3.NF.A.3 — Equivalence and comparison of fractions (coming soon)

Measurement & Data (MD) + Geometry (G)

Telling time, measurement units, graphs, area, perimeter, and basic geometry. Ten standards across MD and G.

  • 3.MD.A.1 — Tell and write time to the nearest minute; measure time intervals ✓ Telling Time
  • 3.MD.C.5-7 — Concept of area as square units, area by tiling and multiplication (coming soon)
  • 3.MD.D.8 — Solve real world problems involving perimeter (coming soon)
  • 3.G.A.1-2 — Categorize shapes by attributes; partition shapes into equal parts (coming soon)

Common questions

Quick answers to what parents and teachers ask first when they land on a math worksheet page.

Yes, fully free. No signup required, no email gate to download, no watermark across the page, no per-page limit. You print as many as you want, as often as you want, for personal or classroom use. ToolFluency is supported by display ads on the site (around the generator, never on the printed page) and by our two paid workspace apps: the Business dashboard (invoicing, expenses, payroll, taxes, jobs — from $16 CAD/mo) and the Personal Plus / Family life-organizer dashboard (budget, bills, notes, kids accounts — from $5 CAD/mo). Every other surface stays free, including math worksheets, the Kids Zone, the 3D Assets library, games, music tools, and every calculator. Personal Plus includes 1 kid Kids Zone profile; Family includes unlimited kids + the parent dashboard; Business plans include the Personal/Family kids bundle for the owner. There are no plans to paywall the printables.
Yes. Every math worksheet is built against a specific Common Core State Standard (CCSS) for Math. The main multiplication worksheet targets 3.OA.C.7 (fluency within 100). The missing factor worksheet targets 3.OA.A.4. The 2-digit by 1-digit tool targets 4.NBT.B.5. The CCSS code appears on each tool's page in the "What it teaches" section, and the standards map above shows which standards are covered today and which are coming next. State-specific standards (Texas TEKS, Virginia SOL, Florida BEST) generally align to the same skills with slight wording differences — these worksheets work for those too.
Yes. Every worksheet has three print options: Print Problems (worksheet only), Print Answer Key (key only), or Print Both (worksheet on page 1, key on page 2). The answer key uses the same layout as the worksheet — same problem order, same numbering — so grading is fast. Teachers in classrooms typically print "Print Both," keep the key, and hand out just the worksheet. Parents helping with homework usually print both so they can check work as the kid goes.
Yes — every worksheet is seeded. After generating a worksheet you like, the URL updates with a seed code (a short string like K3F9X). Save the URL or screenshot it, and pasting it back into any browser regenerates the exact same problem set. This is useful for teachers who want to give one student a make-up worksheet identical to what the class did Tuesday, or parents who want to re-test the same set after a week. Without the seed, every page load generates a fresh random set — also useful when you want unlimited variation for daily practice.
The current set is strongest for Grade 3 (multiplication fact fluency is the marquee Grade 3 math standard). A Grade 2 student near the end of the year can start with the ×2 and ×5 anchor facts as an introduction. A Grade 4 student practicing fluency can use the Mad Minute drill at 12×12 range for review, or move to 2-digit multiplication. A Grade 5 student likely needs the multiplication tools for review and is ready for multi-digit work — addition, subtraction, division, and fractions tools (coming soon) will round out their coverage.
For daily practice, 10-20 problems at a sitting is the research-backed sweet spot — long enough to encode the facts, short enough to avoid fatigue-driven errors (Foorman 2016 IES practice guide; Rohrer & Taylor 2007 on retrieval session length). For a timed fluency check, the classic "Mad Minute" approach is 100 problems with a 1-5 minute target. The Mad Minute Drill tool is built for that. For a homework assignment that doesn't feel like punishment, 20-30 problems is typical. The worksheet generators here go up to 100 problems on a single page so you can match whatever your teacher or curriculum specifies.
Yes — both are explicit use cases. Classroom teachers can print as many copies as they need for their students, including modified copies (different fact ranges for different ability groups) by generating multiple versions and printing each at the count appropriate for that group. Homeschool families have full permission to use the worksheets across multiple children, multiple years, and to integrate them into a daily curriculum. No attribution is required on printouts (though the small ToolFluency.com footer on each worksheet stays — that's how we keep these free). Tutoring centers, after-school programs, and learning pods are also welcome to use them. Commercial resale of the worksheet files themselves (e.g. compiling a packet and selling it) is not permitted; teach with them, don't repackage them.
Three things. No paywall — Super Teacher Worksheets requires a $24.95/year membership for most downloads; everything here is free. Modern generator UX — Math-Aids has 47 multiplication generators but a 2005-era interface with aggressive ads; these tools have a clean preview, instant regeneration, and answer keys built in. Page-fit guarantee — most worksheet generators online break across two pages when you pick 100 problems; the layout system here uses the print page as a fixed canvas and scales rows/columns automatically so you always get one clean printable page regardless of count. The tradeoff is that ToolFluency has fewer worksheet types right now (more coming each week) — for breadth, Math-Aids still wins; for usability and customization, these tools are designed to feel like 2026 instead of 2008.

More worksheets every week.
